I (Paul Galloway) am committed to protecting your privacy and to developing technology that gives you the most powerful and secure online experience. You can travel through most of my site without giving me any personal information about yourself. But sometimes I do need information to provide services that you request, and this statement of privacy explains my data collection and use in those situations.

Information Collection and Use
When you visit one of my sites or click on one of the links found there, I may record your IP address, operating system, and browser version. I use this information to generate usage statistics and to ensure that my sites are accessible to the widest possible audience.
I collect information from my visitors at several different points on my sites. The information I collect will be used to occasionally send you special offers and advertisements that are selected to match your interests and to bring you useful software applications and services that I think might make your internet experience more enjoyable. I determine your interests with surveys and registration questions and by collecting information about where you surf and how you search on the web. Depending on which services and applications you use, as well as your preferences, special offers and advertisements may be displayed using popup windows, in search functionality, on browser pages, web pages, and/or sent to you via electronic mail or postal mail.
In order to access various features on my websites, users may be asked to complete a registration form. During registration a user is required to give their contact information (such as name and email address). This information is stored on my web servers and used to contact the user about the services on my site for which they have expressed interest. It is optional for the user to provide demographic information (such as gender), and unique identifiers (such as address), but encouraged so I can provide a more personalized experience. During the registration process, subscribers may be asked if they would like to have their registration information made available to companies that wish to offer products and services that my subscribers may be interested in. This may be displayed as a bundled registration, co-registration or pre-populated form.
If you choose to not have your browser accept cookies, you will be able to view the text on the screens, however you will not experience a personalized visit nor will you be able to access some of the service offerings on the site. Please note that I may allow third-party service providers to set and access cookies for their web site on your computer. When these companies set and access their cookies on your computer they do so in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Web beacons are electronic images (also referred to as a "single-pixel image" or "invisible pixel"). This technology tells me how many visitors clicked on key elements of my Web site. I may use this technology to compile aggregated statistics about web site usage. I may include web beacons on popup windows, in search functionality, on browser pages, web pages, or in email messages in order to count how many recipients have viewed these messages. Third party service providers that serve ads to my sites may also use web beacons in connection with the provisioning of their services.
I use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track visitor's movements, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are stored on my servers but are not associated with any personally identifiable information. I also use IP addresses to track abuse of our system or fraudulent activity.
When I provide you with links in emails, they may include a special tracking code, unique to you, which allows us to determine which content and advertisements are most popular. We may share this data in aggregate form or in individual form.
I partner with other parties to provide email notification services. When users register at my site, I share name, email and other contact information that is necessary for the third parties to provide these services. These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.
I will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Paul Galloway; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Paul Galloway and my family of Web sites, and, (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of visitors of my sites, or the public.
Optional Surveys & Contests
From time-to-time my site may request information from users via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of the sites and continuing to provide relevant offers to users via electronic mail.
If a user elects to use my "Tell a Friend" referral service for informing a friend about any of my sites, I ask them for the friend's name and email address. The users referred to me receive invitation e-mails, and I store the information on my servers, but I DO NOT contact them again until/unless they confirm their interest in our service.
If you belong to a rewards program or a charity program, you can earn money or points for those programs. But, obviously, I may provide information about you back to the program sponsor for the purpose of paying you or awarding you points. The information is usually your member number or email address - however you may have identified yourself on the rewards' site. If you participate in any of my own reward or incentive programs, I track your activity using your email address and share your email address with the reward sponsor and any third parties involved with fulfillment of the reward.
I may use Contact/Support pages to collect information about you. In the case of customer support questions, I use the information to help diagnose and address consumer questions. Although we collect this information, we do not combine this with any information we have about your preferences or interests.
Users who no longer wish to receive my promotional materials and those of my partners may opt-out of receiving these communications by clicking the link at the end of each email you receive from me, and following the resulting instructions.
Updating Personal Information
I do not provide a mechanism to update or change a user's personally identifiable information. If a user no longer desires my service, I ask them to opt-out of our mailings and discontinue the use of my web sites and services.
Protection of Children's Personal Information
I do not publish content that is targeted to children. I do not specifically collect information about children and believe that children should get their parents' consent before giving out any personal information. Furthermore, I do not knowingly accept registrations from persons under the age of 18. If you are concerned about your children providing any personal information without your consent, please opt-out of my mailings, and prevent your children from accessing or using my web sites. I also recommend that parents who are AOL members use AOL's Parental Controls or, if not, other web filtering technology to supervise their children's access to the web.
